Use the Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions for this series EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Collecting, processing and disseminating of intelligence data to support decision making at various levels of command; Converting and refinement of data into usable information for reporting to commanders and decision-makers; Demonstrating knowledge of intelligence cycle and intelligence policies and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships of the national IC, DoD, and USAF. Applying working knowledge of acquisition policies and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a system's lifecycle. Using advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources; Working with national intelligence community and knowing their structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships of the national IC, DoD, and USAF. Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapons system's life-cycle; Acquisition Intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of USAF research laboratories, acquisition program offices, and life-cycle management, nuclear, sustainment, and system testing enterprises. Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, identify intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customer requirements. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence assessments that directly support customer requirements and leverage division intelligence capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally an in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/ or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). The primary purpose of this position, INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST, GG-0132-13 is to provide intelligence support to the acquisition life-cycle (Acquisition Intelligence). Supports effective research, development, fielding, sustainment and improvement of capabilities by identifying intelligence requirements, deficiencies, integrating intelligence.

Duties

• DUTY 1: Serves as a multi-source Intelligence Specialist. Performs complex intelligence analysis with emphasis on Air Force and DoD programs/systems acquisition activities and leads teams/projects supporting MAJCOM, Air Force, and DoD acquisition processes and programs DUTY 2: Provides Intelligence support to DoD/USAF Acquisition programs, systems, and processes. Employs expertise to achieve technical understanding of a US weapon system's intelligence information requirements to identify and minimize cost, schedule, and performance risks as early in the system's life-cycle as possible DUTY 3: Presents ISR capabilities to a variety of program office, service, national, and/or coalition customers. Applies knowledge of acquisition and IC, to include awareness of the variety of intelligence databases, collection management, requirements management, IC roles and responsibilities, online intelligence documentation, and new intelligence technology developments to assure program threat requirements are identified and recommends solutions for recognized gaps. DUTY 4: Serves as an Intelligence authority on specific ISR programs, systems, or issues. Serves as an expert for an intelligence function, process, program, or weapon system.
