Qualifications & Requirements

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Experience instructing rock climbing. Experience in a combination of rock climbing, hiking, paddlesports, snowsports. Professional certifications in a combination of rock climbing, hiking, paddlesports, snowsports. Experience with the Rectrac Point of Sale system. Experience maintaining ski/snowboard equipment (I.e. Base, Edge, Binding care). Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager. Position Overview

This position is located at USAG Bavaria - MWR, Wild Boar Outdoor Recreation Center, Grafenwoehr, Germany. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Duties

• Plans, schedules, organizes and implements activities. Such activities include but are not limited to cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, trips, skeet shooting, parks, ranges, mountain climbing and overnight recreational trips.
• Demonstrates techniques and instructs participants in the use of equipment.
• Coordinates with installation, county, and state officials on programs and information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses.

• May assist in the preparation and development of the annual operating budget and 5- year plan.
