Qualifications & Requirements

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in one of the program areas to be managed. OR Experience that provided a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess 1-2 years personnel management experience (supervising employees, conducting ratings,/counseling, recruitment, performance ratings, etc.) within Non-appropriated funds. Possess 1-2 years food and beverage (i.e., Inventory control, receiving and ordering of inventory, snack and bar operations, concessionaire/contracting) management experience. Possess 1-2 years conducting and facilitating recreational programs (monthly recurring programming of ongoing recreation classes and special events and soldier and family programming). Currently possess a valid Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP) and/or a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certificate or equivalent? Must submit the certificate(s) at the time of application. Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager. Claimed experience must be verifiable through your resume. Assumptions will not be made.
Position Overview
This position is located at USAG Ansbach - MWR, Storck Recreation Program, Ansbach, Germany. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid.
Duties
- Operates two or more recreation facilities/areas with diverse functions. Performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment.
- Prepares work orders for maintenance which cannot be completed by self-help.
- Polices building and grounds, performs general housekeeping and ensure areas are ready for use. Maximizes facility usage for both organized functions and individual development.
- Inventories property; determines equipment condition; initiates maintenance, repair or replacement as appropriate. Recommends purchase/construction of equipment and facilities. Instructs customers and monitors proper usage of equipment.
