This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Position Overview
About the Position: This position is located at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth Virginia in the Radiology Department. Incumbent will serve as a Supply Technician and perform a variety of Supply Technician duties within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF). This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
- Maintain complete inventory management of all items necessary to supply the radiolody department.
- Maintain current purchasing information and catalogs.
- Issue supplies and equipment to radiology staff while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages to prevent disruptions in patient care.
- Use automated supply and inventory management systems to process requisitions.
- Coordinate with vendors, medical logistics department and clinical staff to resolve supply issues.
