Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with primary source verification of health care credentials, maintaining accurate provider records in centralized databases, AND adhering to regulatory compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

About the Position: Serves as a credentialing and privileging program coordinator at a military medical treatment facility. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

• Oversees healthcare credentialing and privileging to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conducts primary source verification of provider education, licenses, and certifications.
• Evaluates quality assurance and risk management data for impacts on provider privileges.
• Manages official provider records and databases to track renewals and adverse actions.
• Advises leadership and committees on program trends and complex privileging decisions.
• Drafts professional correspondence and reports regarding audit findings and credentialing actions.
• Provides technical training on credentialing policies and documentation procedures.
