For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Position Overview

About the Position: This position is located within the Patient Administration and Outpatient Records Office at Moncrief Army Health Clinic at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

  • Directs the daily operations of the Outpatient Medical Records Branch.
  • Develops local policies and standard operating procedures for the medical records section.
  • Evaluates the work performance of assigned personnel.
  • Resolves employee complaints and minor disciplinary issues.
  • Oversees the facility's medical correspondence and Release of Information (ROI)program.
  • Prepares formal reports regarding medical record discrepancies.
  • Compiles requested medical data from various healthcare information systems.
