Basic Requirement for Pharmacist: Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Qualification: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, Ph.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Exemption: You are exempt from the requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status. Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Position Overview

About the Position: This position is located at Keller Army Community Hospital at West Point, NY. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Duties

  • Label, record, apply directions for use and appropriate cautions to products dispensed.
  • Formulate a variety of complex additives and solutions and sterile irrigations.
  • Provide technical guidance to lower graded pharmacists and pharmacy assistants in resolving problems.
  • Monitor and review the dispensing of narcotics and other controlled drugs.
  • Provide information and consultive advice to prescribing physician.
  • Monitor and evaluate the proper use of pharmaceuticals.
