In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: Coordinate day-to-day operations of logistics, administration, travel, workspace, equipment availability and operations; and Ensure all workspaces and facilities are properly maintained and in working order in accordance with their appropriate use; and Ensure all physical and information security requirements are implemented and adhered to and classified and sensitive information is appropriately handled according to all relevant laws and regulations; and Ability to establish developmental routing and internal flow patterns for improved communications Determine the necessity for and establishes internal control procedures pertaining to correspondence, reports, messages, and memoranda. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Position Overview
This position is located in the Office of Court Administration, Office of the Convening Authority, Office of Military Commissions. The Office of Military Commissions (OMC) is under the direction of the Convening Authority for Military Commissions. The Director is responsible for all legal and legal support services performed within OMC.
Duties
- Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as supervisor with subordinate military and civilian employees. Develops performance plans and rates employees. Assists with interviews of candidates for subordinate positions and makes recommendations on selections for hiring, promotion, or reassignments. Assists Pentagon Force Protection Agency and Office of Special Security personnel in periodic evaluations and physical security requirements Consolidates data as necessary, and reviews work plans, with the aid of a suspense roster, to ensure accomplishment of objectives, timeliness, and acceptability. Coordinates all transportation requirements for OCA staff as well as the jury or panel members traveling to and from U.S. Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay or other locations as a result of official travel requirements.
