Position Overview
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Serves as a working leader to Vending Machine Attendants involved in the maintenance and operation of vending machines. Operates a motor vehicle throughout the installation for long and short trips in the performance of duties.
Assigns and leads vending personnel in the performance of the following duties: maintain MCCS owned vending machines daily. Inspect and replenish merchandise. Check expiration dates of foods and rotate foods to eliminate spoilage; prepare Merchandise Transfer for amount of merchandise required and forwards for processing; set up and maintain prices in machine on items being sold; repair broken machines; locate worn, defective, poorly adjusted parts through visual preventive maintenance checks; select tools to determine method and techniques to follow depending on the machine; determine parts required and obtain replacement information from manufacturer's parts manual or by comparison with samples removed; collect monies from vending machines according to established schedule; clear coin jams and make refunds at designated locations; assist in relocating and installing new machines at locations; clean interiors and exteriors using appropriate cleaning solutions; make settings and adjustments on dispensing; operate a motor vehicle; load and unload merchandise; insure that merchandise is protected from damage or bad weather; perform inspection of vehicle for proper maintenance.
Recommends merchandise replenishment orders for all vending machines; assigns routes to vending machine attendants responsible for receipting and consolidating all vending machine money collections. Issues and lays out vending products. Responsible for conducting monthly inventory; prepares vending reports.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Must have one year of experience in a similar position which includes stocking, cash handling, and minor repair maintenance ability. Prior experience leading subordinates preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
RESPONSIBILITY: Works under the general supervision of a designated supervisor who plans, schedules, and makes assignments. Work is performed within the framework of established policies, guides, and procedures. Refers unusual problems to supervisor for guidance and resolution. Review is made for adherence to prescribed policies, timeliness, and efficiency of operations.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Required to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and climb stairs. Frequently stands, walks, and handles light weight objects. Utilizes dolly which may weigh up to 100 pounds when loaded. Must push cart or dolly up and down ramps to gain access to buildings.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed both inside and outside. Incumbent is occasionally exposed to bad weather conditions while loading and unloading vehicle. Drives in all types of weather, and is subject to cuts, bruises and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or when loading or unloading vehicle.
