Duties
This position is located in the Office of the Senior Vice President of Board Authorized Finance (OBAF) of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank) and are assigned to Asset Management Division within OBAF. The primary responsibility of the position is to support the most complex international portfolio of financial transactions under the guidance of the Supervisor.Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzing financial statements and credit risk of large corporations, project finance, or structured finance borrowers.
- Evaluating country risk, industry risk, and structural considerations, including financial, legal, and technical factors affecting repayment capacity.
- Managing and monitoring complex loan portfolios.
- Identification of emerging risks.
- Developing of mitigation strategies.
- Developing and executing the restructuring and recovery strategies for distressed or non-performing assets.
- Negotiating with borrowers, guarantors, and creditor groups in complex multi-party situations.
- Evaluating recovery options, including restructuring, enforcement, or liquidation.
- Preparing credit, restructuring, and recovery memoranda and presenting recommendations to senior management or decision-making bodies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Specialized Experience (Credit for Specialized Experience on resume must reflect 40 hours/Full-time per week for each period of work):GS-14: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal Government or other equivalent pay systems. Specialized experience includes:
- Experience analyzing and monitoring power, high tech, commodities, manufacturing transactions and/or post-default loan recoveries;
- Experience analyzing financial statements and assessing the credit risk across a range of corporate and project finance borrowers;
- Experience evaluating country, industry, legal, and/or technical risks affecting repayment capacity;
- Experience managing and monitoring loans, including identifying emerging risks and developing mitigation strategies to preserve asset quality; AND
- Experience developing and executing restructuring or recovery strategies for distressed assets, including negotiation with borrowers, guarantors, and creditor.
