Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyze and evaluate financial data for program resources by planning, programming, and budgeting to develop changes in program funding and/or determine impact on financial milestones; identify potential impacts of new or revised legislation or regulations on current programs or processes; assign and reassign personnel to meet changing workloads and projects; and brief a wide range of audiences (e.g., financial team, managers, customers) regarding financial information, concepts and ideas. Position Overview

Duties

  • You will collect, process, and maintain information using financial management systems comprising one or more applications (e.g., Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System [SABRS], Command Financial Management System [CFMS.
  • You will monitor production reports and budget cycle update results to ensure system functionality and continuity.
  • You will recommend the development or implementation of financial management policies, plans, or programs.
  • You will use software capabilities (e.g., Excel, Access, or similar software) to process, review, and report on financial data.
  • You will advise employees, Budget Submitting Offices (BSOs), and other stakeholders on Department of the Navy (DON) financial improvement and audit readiness (FIAR) processes and procedures.
  • You will review financial documents or reports for compliance with laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., federal appropriation law, Department of War (DoW) financial management regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • You will establish work schedules, deadlines and standards for acceptable levels of financial, accounting, or budgeting work and identify developmental and training needs to improve production and increase the quality of work.
