Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated financial systems, such as GFEBS; advising on use of funds for medical facilities; advising on effective and efficient methods of acquisition. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Position Overview

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Health Clinic New England, Newport, Rhode Island or Naval Branch Health Clinic Groton, Groton, Connecticut. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

  • Performs or advises on work in any of the bases or systems of budget administration.
  • Analyzes and recommends costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
  • Implements legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
  • Provides advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
  • Works within a variety of financial programs to include General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), and Financial Management Information System (FMIS), and performing accounting and other financial management duties for the organization.
  • Supervises, sets priorities and schedules work as necessary to assure effective accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect daily work.
