Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service in evaluating, treating and providing mental health services to beneficiaries, applying psychological methods to develop individualized treatment plans, address complex conditions, and consult with healthcare providers.
Position Overview
About the Position: Serves as a Clinical Child Psychologist responsible for independently evaluating and treating children from birth through age 21, and providing mental health services to adult beneficiaries as directed. Operates with full professional autonomy and accountability, applying advanced clinical decision-making and accepted psychological methods to develop individualized treatment plans, address complex conditions. Duties
- Conducts comprehensive psychological assessments and implements specialized procedures to address developmental, emotional, and mental disorders
- Administers and interprets psycho-diagnostic tests
- Oversees diagnostic and treatment services
- Develop programs and implement best-practice approaches within child clinical psychology
- Attend professional symposia, conferences, seminars, and meetings to maintain licensure and remain current in clinical developments.
