Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Pediatrics): Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes conducting psycho-diagnostic assessments to pediatric or adolescent population; providing crisis intervention to an individual or group setting; and assisting with developing treatment plans. License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.

Position Overview

About the Position: This position is located in Honolulu, HI at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Directorate of Mental Health. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices.

Duties

  • Perform biopsychosocial evaluations and mental health diagnoses.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive and motivational approaches.
  • Conduct group psychotherapy.
  • Provide preventive care and healthy lifestyle interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of patient care in the electronic health record in accordance with federal, DoD, DHA, and hospital regulations.
  • Monitor objective behavioral outcome measures and review statistical data to modify program goals.
