Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the planning, development, or evaluation of a comprehensive housekeeping, custodial, or environmental sanitation program within a large-scale institutional, commercial, or healthcare facility; assisting with the management of a program for the collection, handling, and removal of regulated, hazardous, or specialized waste; assisting with quality assurance for facility support contacts (such as custodial, grounds, pest control, or snow removal); ensuring strict compliance with environmental, safety, or sanitation regulations; and assisting with resource management and budget formulation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Position Overview
About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Duties
- Direct the Center's comprehensive housekeeping, custodial, and environmental sanitation program.
- Oversee the collection, handling, and removal of regulated, hazardous, and specialized waste.
- Serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to provide quality assurance for facility support contracts.
- Supervise personnel in assessing contractor performance to ensure strict compliance with environmental, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Advise leadership on program operations, budget formulation, and resource requirements.
