In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Experience with Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) systems, policy, operations, and procedures to process, analyze, and report intelligence findings. AND 2) Experience with technical aspects of GEOINT collection to provide authoritative advice on behalf of the theater and/or to national agencies. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

Position Overview

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.2 5. This position is located at the US ARMY SPACE & MSL DEF CMD. ARSTRAT DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF, PETERSON AFB, CO.

Duties

• Serves as the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Mission Manager and the Senior Analyst responsible to the GEOINT Chief for the day-to-day operational aspect of the GEOINT mission.
• Represents the organization in GEOINT production and related venues providing technical feedback to facilitate related decisions and commitments.
• Uses a comprehensive knowledge of Army GEOINT requirements and technical aspects of imagery collection to provide authoritative advice concerning GEOINT Analysis.
• Assesses contained in reports based on an understanding of all-source intelligence, situational awareness and capabilities and limitations of collected sensor data and performs quality control of GEOINT products
• Investigates, analyzes, and provides expert advice on the latest advances in GEOINT production operations.
• Serves as a Senior Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Analyst responsible for the processing, analysis and reporting of basic and advanced GEOINT products.
