Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating clinic workflows, researching policies or procedures, and resolving customer issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Position Overview
About the Position: This position is located at 78th Medical Group at Robins Air Force Base, Houston County, Georgia. It is located near the city of Warner Robins, Georgia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Incentives MAY be authorized.
Duties
- Direct the activities of 78th Occupational Medical Services (OMS) Flight, ensuring the OMS complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets patient needs.
- Assign work to employees based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs.
- Coordinate all occupational health care issues with primary care providers and subspeciality providers/clinics, assuring optimal quality, access, and cost efficiency.
- Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities including employee appraisals, performance expectations, hiring, and employee development.
- Identify requirements and initiates requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives.
